Call Pizza Hut Corporate offices. POLITELY tell them where you live and that YOU won't be buying their products ANY MORE. Doesn't matter if you do or you don't buy them now. Just DON'T buy them ever again. Here's the corporate info...

Satyr, good work in posting this....I have started e-mailing this article, asking people to join the boycott and forward the message along...I will also e-mail these corporate swine and let them know that I will boycott their establishments if and until they reinstate the fired employee AND provide him with all back pay and benefits owed for the period he was terminated.....everyone should do likewise....in the meantime, KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Long John Silver can bend over and kiss my ass.....their food sucks anyway

Re: Man fired from Pizza Hut for protecting his own life.
I worked for a pizza place for a long time (not a big chain), and every single one of our drivers (me included) had been robbed for money at least once during their career there. Think about it, pizza drivers have ads on their cars and wear bright uniforms, and are basically advertising to criminals, "I have money". Drivers at my store would be given a bank of $15 in small bills and coins to make change, but if a driver takes 3 or 4 runs at a time on a busy night, they could easily have over $100 cash on their way back to the store.
Punks like this always order from the rear end of an apartment complex away from the street, and in the evening after the sun is going down they make their order. Then you'll be walking around the complex and they'll just come right out with knives/guns and demand your money. When I got robbed I only lost the pizza and my $15 because it was my first stop on that series of runs. That was years ago and I didn't have a gun or a concealed permit at that time, but I would have defended myself as well. It's frightening to be robbed with no way to protect yourself. The worst case was one of our drivers forgot to turn in their cash after 8-10 consecutive runs, and he went out on a delivery with over $250 cash and got robbed by three punks who took all of his money, his wallet, beat him up and broke his glasses. He quit the job after that, and that's when my boss decided that we wouldn't wear uniforms anymore or have those magnetic ads on the car. It was cool, from then on we just wore our regular clothes to deliver pizza in; my boss wanted us to be as inconspicuous as possible. |
